Nutrition Therapy is more than just healthy eating. Dr. Michelle Barrow will assess your diet, health and lifestyle to determine your individual nutritional needs. Nutrition Consultations apply the science of nutrition to the generation of health. Diet, herbs and supplements are recommended to help support your biochemistry and physiology allowing your body to achieve optimum health. Functional tests, including allergy testing, hormone analysis and the renowned digestive stool test are also offered to help find out exactly how your body is functioning.

The functional approach is a personalised approach that supports physiological processes within the body, such as absoprtion, elimination, detoxification, inflammation and repair. Nutrition therapy takes a pathophysiological reasoning clinical approach which targets evidence based interventions to your personalised needs. It uses diet, vitamins, herbs and other nutritional products to promote health.

What Data Does the Health Generation Website Collect?
Simply by visiting the HG website no personal data is collected. HG do not use automated means to process your requests. Depending upon your use of the HG website, HG may collect some or all of the following personal and non-personal data:

Can I Withhold Information?
In relation to nutritional therapy consultations:
- You are responsible for contacting your GP about any health concerns.
- You must give permission for HG to contact your GP regarding any agreed aspects of my case.
- If you are receiving treatment from your GP, or any other medical provider, you must tell him/her about any nutritional strategy provided by HG. This is necessary because of any possible reaction between medication and the nutritional programme.
- It is important that you tell your nutritional therapist about any medical diagnosis, medication, herbal medicine, or food supplements,you areI am taking as this may affect the nutritional programme.
- If you are unclear about the agreed nutritional therapy programme/food supplementdoses/time period, you should contact my nutritional therapist promptly for clarification.
- You must contact your nutritional therapist should you wish to continue any specified supplement programme for longer than the original agreed period, to avoid any potential adverse reactions.
- Recording consultations using any form of electronic media is not allowed without the written permission of HG and/or Nutritional Therapist.
How Can I Access My Personal Data?
If you want to know what personal data HG have about you, you can ask us for details of that personal data and for a copy of it (where any such personal data is held). This is known as a “subject access request”. All subject access requests should be made in writing and sent to the email or postal addresses. There is not normally any charge for a subject access request. If your request is ‘manifestly unfounded or excessive’ (for example, if you make repetitive requests) a fee may be charged to cover our administrative costs in responding.
HG will respond to your subject access request within one month and, in any case, not more than one month of receiving it.
